Each year the profits from the Beer Can Regatta are handed over to local community organisations that fit the values of the Lions Club International.

To become a beneficiary, you will have to put in a proposal that indicates the projects, the funds needed and who it wills serve in the community, we have small and large grants but the amounts are dependant on the outcome of the event. We suggest that organisations apply for both a small and large grant and the committee may choose one deserving organisation or split the funds to maximise community impact over smaller projects.

2019 beneficiary applications will be open in early 2019. Please, applications packs will be available on this website or by emailing

All applications are considered by the committee and no job is too big or to small!
